Obituary: WILLIAM PINK HAIZLIP, JR
























































William P. Haizlip, Jr., “Billy”, left his pain behind on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Greene, of Rockingham officiating. The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until 1:50 p.m. and all other times at their homes. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.

Billy was a jack of all trades, proficient in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. He loved to help family and friends, and enjoyed the outdoors until his health began to decline. He loved to fish and watch Nascar and sports with family.

Billy left behind his 4 children, Brandon Haizlip with Fiancé, Misty Lloyd, of Mayodan; Justin Haizlip and wife, Johanna of Stokesdale; Matine Haizlip of Tennessee; and Jeffery Haizlip of Stokes County.

Billy is also survived by his mother, Shirley Friddle of Stokesdale;one brother, Stephen Haizlip of Stokesdale; six sisters, Lisa Murray (Jimmy), Cynthia Snyder (Danny), Robin Wells (James), Tammy Chilton (Norman Nance), Sheila Joyner, and Kristie Shelton (Dwayne).

Billy’s grandchildren were special to him. Brandon’s sons, Charlie and Ryan, Justin’s daughter, Autumn, and Misty’s daughter, Kristen Lloyd will miss their Papa Billy. He had numerous nieces and nephews he loved.

Billy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carrie and Stephen Haizlip of Stoneville, and William, “Bill”, and Louise Willaims Knight of Mayodan; father, William P. Haizlip, Sr.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
