Truda Gaynell (Fuller) Ratliff of Walnut Cove, North Carolina passed away peacefully February 12th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC.
Truda loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed sunrises, sunsets and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Truda spent the early years of her life in the Grundy, Virginia area and later moved to North Carolina to be closer to the family she loved so dearly. Her infectious smile, words of encouragement and undying devotion to those she loved will forever be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing this great lady.
Truda was born August 14th, 1944, in Iaeger, WV and was the last surviving child of Basil and Sarah (Bostic) Fuller. Truda was preceded in death by her parents Basil and Sarah Fuller as well her husband Lee Allen Ratliff of Grundy. She is survived by her five children; Tony Ratliff of Walnut Cove, NC, Timothy and wife, Terri Ratliff of Ararat NC, Pam and husband, Delmar Vandyke of Pine Hall, NC, Tina and husband, Steve Corns of Lawsonville, NC, Darrell and wife, Andi Ratliff of Wentworth, NC and five grandchildren, Lee Vandyke of Madison, NC, Brandon Vandyke of Walnut Cove, NC, Cody Corns of Lawsonville, NC, Garrett and Gavin Ratliff of Wentworth, NC. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of Truda’s life will be held Sunday February 18th, 2024, in Lawsonville, NC. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in Truda’s name.
All arrangements are being handled by Ray Funeral Home of Madison NC.
