Summer Rain Lynn Hiatt arrived on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy, NC and was quickly ushered into heaven and into the waiting arms of her great-grandparents, Freddie and Linda Michaux, Loy Settle and Roger Gwyn.

Surviving are parents, April Settle and Shane Hiatt; one brother, Jaxon Settle; grandparents, Timmy and Janet Gwyn, Paula Settle, Kevin Settle, Rebecca Pettit and Joe Settle; great-great-grandmother, Judy Gwyn and many extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Buster Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow at the Bald Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and all other times at the home of Timmy and Janet Gwyn in Madison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Funeral Home, 127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025 to assist the family with expenses.
