Sue Carolyn Peay Sharpe left her earthly life for her forever home on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
Carolyn was born on January 2, 1941, in Rockingham County, the firstborn child of the late Dillard Claybourne and Odell Dodson Peay.
Carolyn is survived by one son, Dwayne Sharpe and wife, Olesya, grandchildren, Philip, Kelly, Matt and Jake Sharpe. Sisters, Nancy Peay Williams and Mary Dell Peay Smothers. Nieces and Nephews, Wendi Lynn Williams, Scott and Ginger Williams, Tony and Kona Kirkbride Pate, Jerri Anne and Dustin Hill, Madison Pate, Clay Pate and Taylor Manuel. She also leaves behind her dear friends and neighbors, Judy Drake, Sharon Shearer and Janet Tesla to cherish their memories.
The family wishes to thank Jessica Garrett, Jodi Roberts and the AuthoraCare Hospice staff for their attentive care, and the Griswold Agency for their caring employees, Faye Crite and Rosa Hernandez.
