Shirley Turner Wall, 87, of Cooper City, Florida, passed away on February 3rd, 2024.
Shirley was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Ulysses and Bertha Turner.
She was a loving homemaker who provided endless warmth and care for her family and friends; she had a heart of gold and anyone who met her knew right away that she was one special Southern Belle. Her favorite activity was her weekly outings with her best friend, Jean. Shirley had a style of her own, and was always ready to go, with her red lipstick and cute outfits.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Russell D. Wall; son, Tony R. Wall; stepson, Donald Wall, siblings, Ruby Brown, Carnell Mansfield, Michael Turner, Posey Turner, Leonard Turner, Levi Turner.
She is survived by her children: Russell D. Wall Jr. and wife, Sheila, Cathy Wall Leo, Linda Darlene Varie and husband, Joe, John Henry Wall and wife, Virginia; stepdaughter, Rebecca Koonts; grandchildren, Ashley D., Sundy, Shannon, Logan, Ashley V., Joey, Emily, Brian; step-grandchildren Tracy and Michael; 6 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a large and loving group of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Shirley will truly be missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or any other childhood leukemia charitable organization of your choice.
