Obituary: SHANE EUGENE SIZEMORE

Shane Eugene Sizemore, 44, passed away on February 24, 2024 at Atrium Health.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Pine Hall Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Hill from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday.

Shane was born on February 6, 1980 to Ralph and Lisa Sizemore in Rockingham County. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, their Pawpaw. Anytime he got the chance Shane was with his family grilling out, riding dirt bikes, and playing his guitar for them. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Eugene Sizemore; grandparents, Oscar and Elizabeth Sizemore, Ralph Sands; uncles, Tommy Sizemore, Bobby Lee Sizemore; aunt, Frances Sizemore.

Survivors include his mother, Lisa Sands Sizemore; fiancé, Megan Spaulding; children, Kora Sizemore (Timmy), Hope Sizemore (Clint); grandchildren, Klara Covey, Willow Purdy; grandmother, Edna Sands; aunts, Cindy Orman (Luther), Judy Johnson, Florence Crews; special cousins, Bobby Dean Sizemore (Deanna), Heather Strange (Brandon); many friends and family members.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pine Hall Presbyterian Church.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
