Rhonda Rena “Pee Wee” Withers, the beloved mother of Jamaine Lee Withers, departed this life on Thursday, August 3, 2023.
As a resident of Reidsville for the majority of her life, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School, Class of 1980. She was an affiliate of Rocky Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and was formerly employed as a textile worker. “Pee Wee”, as she was affectionately referred by family and friends, enjoyed socializing, playing cards and listening to music.

Her parents, Bessie Lee Williamson Withers and Joe Arthur Withers; siblings, Lelia Mae Withers, Lorenza and Billy Joe Withers; niece, Alexandria Withers and a nephew, Courtney Withers; brother-in-law, Earl Cobb, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: a loving son, Jamaine Lee Withers (Nerisa); sisters, Ruby Withers, Naomi Cobb, Regina Blackwell (Ernest), Sylvia Withers and Bernice Brown; brother, Robert Withers (Shenita); aunt, Edna Farrish; sister-in-law, Faye Withers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Pastor William Hairston presiding. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Her remains are in the care of Johnson & Sons.
