Monique Sorot Nelson, 84, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Wednesday January 11, 2023 at Annie Penn Hospital.
A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date. A public celebration of life will be held in the future. A native of Paris, France, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Madeliene Biscaldi Sorot and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life. She was a former waitress at Reid’s House Restaurant and was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Melbourne, FLA. She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her children. She really loved the time she spent living in Florida with her church family and going to the beach. Monique was preceded in death by her husband David Glenn Nelson , her son-in-law: C.B. Lawrence and her great granddaughter: Lilly Nelson.
Survivors include her daughters: Wanda Ann Nelson and Patsy Lynn Nelson both of Reidsville, and Mary Lawrence of Summerfield, her sons: David Lee Nelson (Ammie Lyn) of Ararat, VA, and Jerry Ray Nelson of Reidsville, her brother: Claude Sorot of Melbourne, FLA. fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
