Matthew Orell Stovall, loving father, son, and brother, left this earthly life Sunday, February 18, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Rockingham County on October 15, 1978; Matthew attended North Stokes High School and Oak Ridge Baptist Church as a child. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and driving anything on wheels fast. He had a keen sense of humor and wanted to make people happy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Colon Orell Stovall; sister, Melissa Stovall Mabe; and grandparents Robert and Opal Stovall and Harry and Odell Steele.
Survivors include sons Seth and Caleb Stovall; mother Gladys Steele Stovall; brother Michael Paul Stovall; and sister Melanie S. Foss (Jim); nieces Whitney Bullins Taylor (Ryan), Meghann Stovall (Junior), Alexis “Lexie” LaDrew (Daniel) and Kate; nephews Tucker, Karter, Luke, Vinny and step-nephews Stephen and Michael Foss. Many cousins and friends are left to cherish Matthew’s memory.
