Ms. Juanita Scales Adams departed this life on Monday evening, February 19, 2024.
She was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and a resident of New York for the majority of her life. Juanita attended Booker T. Washington High School and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. Being nurtured by the influences of a Christian family resulted in her baptized at Bold Springs Baptist Church at a tender age. After relocating to New York, she attended various churches in the area. During her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and caring for others. As a loving mother and grandmother, sister and friend, those who knew her were touched by her thoughtful and giving nature.
We thank God for her enrichment and impacting presence in our lives. Glory To God!
Her parents, Isabella Clark Scales and Samuel Scales, Sr.; former husband, Howard G. Adams, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: loving sons, Harold Adams (Vera) and Larry Adams (Rhonda); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Min. Shirley Barbee and Sally Lawson; brother, Dr. Samuel Scales, Jr. (Mable); other relatives and friends.
