Johnny William Wood, 68, of Stokesdale, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Kernersville Medical Center.
There will be no formal service.
Johnny was born in Lee County, NC on January 30, 1956, to the late Clarence and Blanche Hardy Wood. He worked in furniture until his retirement and was always willing to help others. Johnny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved wrestling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jo Ann Wood and Patricia Bolen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his significant other of 37 years, Teresa Johnson of the home; his step-children, Derek Johnson (Valerie) of Kernersville and Amy Southern (Dean) of Pine Hall; his sisters, Betty Jean Wood and Rosie Hutchens; brothers, Lonnie Wood and Albert Wood; and step-grandchildren, Jacob and Daniel Johnson.
