John Walter Hill, 74, passed away at his home on Sunday March 31, 2024.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday April 3, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brim Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. in the chapel and all others times at the home.

John was born on November 21, 1949 in Rockingham County to the late William and Virginia Hill. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, watching sports, and playing poker games. John was a hard worker and was always willing to help others.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Havven Totten; and brother, Junior Hill.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Hill; daughters, Cindy Tuttle (Daniel), Misty Totten; grandchildren, Joshua Hundley (Sabrina), Jesse Tuttle, Hollie Totten (Quen), Harper Hill, Cayden Hundley, Kolbie Hundley, Kaylee Fulcher, Hunter King; great-grandchildren, Zen Mcleod; sister, Norma Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
