Janie Webb Rierson, 82, of Reidsville, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Sovah Health of Danville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Hampton Heights Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the Overlook Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Wednesday at the church.
Janie was born in Eden on November 22, 1940, a daughter of Frank Nesbitt Webb and Sallie Mae Patterson Webb, both deceased. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She served in pastoral evangelism ministry with her husband for over 35 years. She was faithful to the Lord and always put others above herself. She loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Clint Rierson, Jr.; her sisters, Vonnie Price and Joan Evans and her brothers, Frank Webb and Jimmy Webb.
Janie is survived by her children, Tina Burchell and husband Bobby Dale, Lujuana Thomas and husband Evan, Mark Rierson and Jeannie Watson, Tim Rierson and Doreen Jackson; her sisters, Mary Fox, Patricia Walker; her brothers, Rev. Jerry Webb and wife Ardell, Billy Webb, Danny Ray Webb and wife June; her grandchildren, Joshua Burchell, Jordan Burchell, Chris Rierson, Jody Rierson, Clint Huff, Matthew Burchell, Emily Watson and Allison Watson; and many great grandchildren.
