James “Rick” Richard Snyder, 69, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the NC State Veterans Home.
A 2:00 p.m. graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Pleasantville Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roy Little officiating. Mr. Snyder will lie in repose on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 9:00am until 5:00 pm at Ray Funeral Home.
Rick was born on December 4, 1952, to the late Charlie and Gracie Lee Carter Snyder. He was a Private in the US Army. Rick always enjoyed traveling. He also loved Woodworking, Hunting, and Fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Snyder.
Rick is survived by his children, Tricia Oakley of Smithfield and Mara Wooters (Brent) of Eden; his sisters, Mary Lou Vernon of Pine Hall and Carolyn Robinson of Madison; his brothers, Charlie Snyder (Alice) of Stoneville, Danny Snyder (Cindy) of Stoneville, and David Snyder of Stoneville; two grandchildren, Abby and Eleanor Burchell; and his best friend, Hal Hartman.
