Obituary: JAMES “JIMMY” WATSON DYE
























































James “Jimmy” Watson Dye, 82, of 1310 Whetstone Creek Road, Stoneville went home to be with The Lord, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the Gibson House in Wentworth.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2023, at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Albertson officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at his home.

Jimmy was born in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Henry and Opal Stone Dye. He was employed by MacField and New Image Screen Printing for several years. Jimmy was a longtime member of Providence Baptist Church. He loved his family but always had a special bond with his buddy, Nash. He enjoyed life and was happiest riding his Gator and his lawnmower. Jimmy was always happy and was one of the most generous people you would ever know. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his precious wife of 25 years, Emma Thomas Dye.

Jimmy is survived by his children Ricky Fagge and wife, Phyllis, Marcia Davis and husband Johnny, and Yvonne Edmunds and husband Mike; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth Rose and husband Mike, Joan Walter and husband Tom, and Brenda Massey; and a large extended family.

The family would like to thank the loving staff of Hospice of Rockingham County for their care and support during this difficult time with Jimmy.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for memorial contributions to be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
