Glenn Hardin Wilmoth, 76, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grand father, died Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital.
He was born on April 27, 1947, in Stokes County, to the late Warren Gene Hardin Wilmoth and Ethel Hooker Wilmoth. Glenn was owner of C&W Striping. He loved fishing and re-storing tractors. He was a happy, friendly person who was a man of his word.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by brothers Donald Wilmoth and Clarence Wilmoth and sisters Shirley Fulp and Katherine Sutphin.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geneva Marie Southern Wilmoth; daughters, Lisa Collins (Darryl) and Angela Sutherland (James); brothers Monroe Wilmoth (Abigail), Warren Wilmoth Jr., and Alan Wilmoth (Marilyn); five grandchildren
Aarron Collins (Alyssa), Hunter Sutherland, Dallas Sutherland, Savannah Sutherland, and Sierra Carroll (Camron); and six great-grandchildren Warren Collins, Weston Collins, Levi Carroll, Avery Carroll, Declan Cassell, and River Cassell
At Glenn’s request there will be no formal service. The family will receive friends at the residence.
Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
