Glenda Bibee Simmons, 68, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2024, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 1st, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 -2 PM) in the chapel.

Glenda was born December 21, 1955 in Rockingham Count, NC, to the late Clyde Linford Bibee and Dorothy White Bibee Seay. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and going to Fuzzy’s or Bob’s Restaurant to drink coffee with friends.

She is survived by her husband, John Lester Simmons; two sons, James Handy, Jr. (April) and Tim Handy (Natasha); daughters, Candy Foust (Jesse), Gail Handy and Jennifer Lawson; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Seay and sister, Gerry Mabe.

Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
