Frank Richard Lombard, 90, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
He was born in Pittsfield, Illinois. He served in the Navy. He attended Western Illinois University, in Macomb, Illinois, where he received a bachelor’s degree. His father was Pierre Lombard, and his mother was Florence Owens. He married his first wife Claudine Tuskind on October 3rd, 1959, until she lost her battle with breast cancer in 1982. He was employed at Western Electric and moved around the country for 33 years before he retired in 1989. He married Beverly Lombard in 1985 and they were married for 37 years until his death.
He was the father to Paul Lombard of Athens, GA, and Timothy S. Lombard (Lynda) of Pleasant Garden. Grandfather to Zachary (Melissa) and Adam Lombard. Bonus dad to Frederick (Cathy) Hudolin of Greensboro, Cheryl (Mark) Willis of Reidsville, Tonya (Ray) Simpson of Burlington and Timothy Hudolin of Pleasant Garden Also, grandpa to Traci (Thomas) Souza, Ryan (Ashley) Willis, Kelly (Ashley) Saunders, Jasmine (Wesley)Williams and James Hudolin, David Warden, Lori Warden and Melissa (Matthew) Thiedig Joseph (Jenna) Hudolin 15 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Logan, Dayton, Catherine, Hunter, Briana, Ta’Jean, Jade, Josiah, Chassidy, Wesley Rebecca 1 great-great grandson Jasper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 3600 Lawndale Dr. Greensboro.
