Christopher “Chris” Michael Beck Kosinski (Yogi), 48, beloved father, son, brother, left this earthly life, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at his home.
Chris graduated from Eastern Randolph High School and pursued a career in the telecommunications industry, achieving multiple certifications and awards. Prior to his medical condition, he was employed with Pike Electric, and was well recognized in the telecommunications field.
The most important part of Chris’s life was his family. He was a man who deeply loved his family and friends. His greatest joy was lazy days on a bank with a fishing rod and his son. They shared this love with his niece Victoria. Always adventurous, Chris enjoyed sky diving, white water rafting, camping, flower gardening, and any activity that included family and friends. Chris’s love for his two ferrets, Ruckus and Riot was incredible and brought much happiness
He was a hard worker who excelled in every aspect of the computer, satellite and telecommunications field. His co-workers became family to him. His love for his friends was also deeply felt and shown.
Chris was preceded in death by his father Danny Wayne Beck; brother Eddie Wayne Beck; grandfathers Billy Wayne Beck and Ray Lambert; and maternal grandmother Mary Lambert.
Survivors include son Dane James Beck; mother Teresa Gebauer Brookshire (Eugene Nelson); sister Jessica Paige Stanton (Andy); paternal grandmother Yvonne Stewart Beck “Maw Maw”; aunts and uncles Angelique Davis (Brian), Danielle Freeman, Pam Cox (Buddy), Cindy Hensley (Mark), Jackie Gebauer; nieces, dear to his heart, Victoria P. Witherspoon, and Marisa Davis, Ka’mesa Osei, and many dearly loved cousins and extended family. Chris had a special place in his heart for Dustin, Mikey, and Christina.
A Celebration of Chris’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel.
Family and friends will be received following the service at the home of Teresa G. Brookshire, Phillips Road, Sandy Ridge.
