Obituary: ALLIE RAY FULP
























































Allie Ray Fulp, 92, passed Sunday, April 7, 2024, at home after a lengthy illness.

Allie Ray was born April 12, 1931, in Stokes County, to the late Edker Fulp and Cattie Bullins Fulp. He was a self-employed tobacco farmer. Allie Ray served 30 years with Lawsonville Volunteer Fire Department and he attended Lawsonville Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Allie Ray was preceded in death by brothers Otis Fulp, John Carson Fulp, Silas Fulp, William “Jabo” Fulp, and sister Nancy Fulp Whitt.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Vernell Mabe Fulp; son, Michael Ray Fulp; grandson, Michael Caleb Fulp; great-granddaughter, Bailey Thompson; and several nephews, and great-niece and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Lawsonville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at the church with interment following at Samaria Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Colonial Funeral Home in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
