Mr. Alex J. Farrish, age 81, formerly of Caswell County, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Gibson House at Ancora Compassionate Care.
The family will receive friends at the residence of his niece, Tonya Farrish Nazor, 508 Frank Road, Reidsville, NC.
Affectionally known as “Chat” he was born on January 7, 1943 in Rockingham County, NC to the late James Taft Farrish and the late Irmilla Brown Farrish.
After many years of service, he retired from the American Tobacco Company in Reidsville, NC.
He also owned and operated his own grave digging company for over 20 years.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed working outside and was an diehard LA Dodgers fan.
He was married to the late Helen Mills Farrish for 49 years.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Robert Farrish and Herman Randolph Farrish; and sister, Wannett F. Lipscomb.
Survivors include sisters, Elizabeth F. Johnson and Cecelia McClure; special niece/caregiver, Tonya Nazor; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
